Kelvin Young will put all thoughts of a British title eliminator to the back of his mind until after he has beaten Joe Walsh tomorrow night.

The British Boxing Board announced today that Young will face Liam Cameron for the British title eliminator in a bout which will take place later this year.

However, Young, who also has a British Masters Bronze title shot against Chris Hobbs in March, insists he cannot afford to think about anything other than the Walsh fight.

“I’m only going to put this news straight to the back of my mind until after I’ve won tomorrow night,” Young told YourSportSwindon. “I have Chris Hobbs after that in March and then if I win both those fights in style then I can think about the eliminator and really look forward to that.

“Liam Cameron is a quality fighter, he won the ABA’s and he is a very, very tough fighter.

“I’m just concentrating on Friday night though and after that I’ll concentrate on Chris Hobbs.

“I’m buzzing right now. I feel the best I’ve ever felt. I’m bang on the weight and I could not be any better right now.”

The winner of the Young-Cameron will likely face the winner of Paul Smith and Rocky Fielding, who must fight by the end of June.
