Ben Carter took his season total to 20 goals from just ten matches as Cricklade were 3-1 winners at Wilts Calne Town.

Georgio Wrona was also on target for the visitors with Michael Jenkins netting the consolation.

The result leaves Cricklade in second, five points behind leaders Shrewton United who enjoyed a 6-3 success at Melksham Town Reserves.

Braces from Dom Jackson and Justice Walters set them on their way with Craig Lewis and substitute Charlie Utterson also getting on the score sheet. Jordan Evans, Michael Hill and Tom Jones were on target for the hosts at The Conigre.

Wroughton are also five points behind the league leaders, albeit with two games in hand, after they were 2-1 winners at bottom side Pewsey Vale Development.

A Nathan Good header and a Rob Harland free-kick earned Marlborough Town all three points at Royal Wootton Bassett Town Reserves as they remain in fourth in the standings.

Malmesbury Victoria Development bounced back from midweek disappointment against Cricklade with a narrow 1-0 victory away at Devizes Town Reserves.

Trowbridge Town returned to winning ways with an away success over Beversbrook.

Goals from Daniel and Ashton Shanley and a penalty from Daniel Baker secured the three points and a first success in four league matches.
