Liam Wilkins is excited about working with Swindon light heavyweight Kelvin Young and believes he will guide his new boxer to the Southern Area title in July.

The 21-year-old professional boxing trainer will be in Young’s corner on July 16th when he takes on Jack Morris for the Southern Area light heavyweight title.

And Wilkins, who operates out of Devizes Amateur Boxing Club, is confident that his new charge will be victorious against Morris.

Young takes on Morris at London’s prestigious York Hall venue and comes into the fight off the back of a stoppage win against Chris Hobbs back in March.

Morris meanwhile lost a unanimous decision against Tom Baker for the English title last time out.
