Your Sport Swindon’s Craig Punfield talks to Swindon Supermarine chairman Jez Webb on the day the new Swindome was erected at the club.
Despite wet and windy weather, Swindon Supermarine’s new all-weather 3G facility took a step closer to completion on Sunday.
The state of the art facility spans a 70 metre by 47 metre footprint and has been designed in Germany and manufactured in Slovakia.
Late on Sunday night, the dome part of the facility was erected thanks to the help of players, club staff and other volunteers.
The facility is identical to the ones already in place at academies at Watford and Standard Liege.
This state of the art facility is expected to be ready for hire in early January 2016.
