Swindon Supermarine boss Dave Webb was delighted with his side’s 4-1 win against Wantage on Boxing Day which capped a “great” December for the club.

There was no Christmas Day hangover for Swindon Supermarine as they thumped local rivals Wantage 4-1.

Ash Edenborough gave Supermarine the perfect start when he slotted home the opener on eight minutes.

Hosts Wantage were back on level terms just three minutes later in bizarre fashion when a corner found the back of the Supermarine net, assisted by the wind.

Josh Parsons restored Supermarine’s lead on 20 minutes before Ryan Stanners extended their advantage on 34 minutes.

Supermarine effectively settled the match on 69 minutes when Parsons grabbed his second goal of the game.

The win lifts Supermarine up to third place in the Southern League Division One South & West.
