Walcot boxer Bill Harris suffered another unlucky defeat after representing the club in Swansea.
The 12-year-old appeared to comfortably outpoint Callum Copp from the Premier Boxing Club at the Welsh club’s winter show last weekend.
But despite impressing by landing countless left jabs and straight rights, it was Copp who had his arm raised by the referee and awarded a split decision.
Walcot coach Daniel Hughes was disappointed with the decision but proud of his boxer’s performance.
“Bill won at least two and a half rounds and was a clear winner in my eyes,” said Hughes.
“It is sad when these young boxers do not get the results they deserve.
“However, Bill performed well, which is the main thing, and we move forward.”
