This Southern League Division One South & West clash saw two unbeaten sides go head to head with Supermarine looking to grab a third straight victory and cement their place at the top of the table.
And it was Supermarine who edged in front early on when Waldon headed home a fine passing move involving himself, Sam Morris, Brad Gray and Callum Parsons on 17 minutes.
Barnstaple though levelled just three minutes later when James Blake pounced on a defensive error to lob Marine keeper Connor Johns.
Johns then made a tremendous stop just before the break to prevent Supermarine falling behind at half-time.
His stop proved all the more crucial when Waldon grabbed his second of the game just four minutes into the second half.
A moment of madness from substitute Josh Parsons then saw him sent off just minutes after coming onto the pitch after appearing to slap a Barnstaple player.
Parsons’ sending off forced Supermarine boss Dave Webb to reshuffle his pack in a bid to hold onto their slender one-goal lead.
But with 20 minutes remaining Supermarine were awarded a penalty and Bradley Hooper made no mistake from the spot.
Barnstaple were then reduced to 10-men after goalkeeper Steve Oliver was judged to have handled the ball outside the box.
Supermarine then wrapped up the points when Callum Parsons slotted home after good work from Connor Thompson on the right.
Barnstaple did pull a goal back late on but it proved too little too late.
Supermarine will chase a fourth straight win on Wednesday when they travel to Slimbridge.
