This weekend will see Swindon St George finally play a competitive league fixture at their new home Nalgo Sports Ground.
Swindon moved into Nalgo last year but the Covid-19 pandemic delayed competitive action with the 2020 season axed.
Fast forward 12 months and the club is thriving and the 2021 season will kick off with the club’s second string hosting Bath Rugby League.
The club also has a new head coach in Kirk Collins, who is excited about making a return to coaching rugby league after a long stint in union.
Collins will no doubt be casting an interested eye on the St George A side on Saturday while his first team will begin their campaign the following weekend away at All Golds.
Your Sport’s Steve Butt popped down to the club to speak to new head coach Kirk Collins, second team skipper Gareth Davis and new main sponsor Tom Brennan from Ted Mortgages.
