Watch this comical moment when referee James Durkin did everything he could get out of the way of a pass during the match against Swindon Supermarine and Evesham.

 

 

Thanks to the referee’s fine evasive tactics saw Connor Waldon’s safely arrive at Brad Hooper’s feet.

In a match where the referee appeared to rule out a perfectly good goal for Evesham, let’s applaud him for this lovely move.

Swindon Supermarine slipped to their first home defeat of the season against Division One South & West play-off rivals Evesham United.

Liam Harding gave Evesham the lead on six minutes thanks to his superb header which picked out the top corner of the Supermarine net.

Brad Hooper then brought the hosts level when he slotted home a penalty after George Reid was fouled in the box on 24 minutes.

Liam Smith then struck for the visitors on 55 minutes, scoring from the spot after he had been brought down in the box by Marine’s Jon Beeden.

Evesham rounded off the win on 90 minutes when Elliott Kennedy poked the ball home after a good cross from the left.
