Swindon trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick reviews the action from Sunday night’s professional boxing show at Grange Leisure Centre.
While Fitzpatrick was delighted with wins for Luke Watkins and Sam Smith he was disappointed with Garvey Kelly’s performance after he suffered a points defeat.
Fitzpatrick was impressed with Smith’s debut performance against Mark Till and believes the fight will stand him in good stead ahead of his second pro outing early next year.
Watkins’ second round knockout of Sandor Balogh was also pleasing for Fitzpatrick who was happy with the manner in which his cruiserweight dominated the fight from the opening bell.
Fitzpatrick was understandably disappointed with the below-par performance from Kelly and admitted the defeat was possibly down to complacency on his boxer’s part.
Swindon’s Kelly Morgan also got a mention from Fitzpatrick, who admitted he is a big fan of hers and expects her to go on and achieve big things in 2016.
