Meg Vella kept her cool for Swindon Town Ladies today, just when they needed a goal to edge a step closer to the Women’s Premier League South West Division One title.
The striker clinically finished her goal after being played in by Ellie Maynard and it was a crucial moment with Town stuck on level terms with St Nicholas at the time.

Alice Smith’s long-range effort found it’s way into the net early on before St Nicholas levelled before the break.
Vella’s clinical finish from the edge of the box then restored Town’s lead before Chyna Collings sealed three valuable points heading in Michelle Rich’s corner at the back post.
Town Ladies now require just one point to clinch the league title with one game left against second bottom Shanklin next Sunday.
