Swindon welterweight Ryan Martin is set to return to the ring in November on the Talk Is Cheap bill at the town’s Oasis Leisure Centre.

The fight will see him return to the ring for the first time in five months and looks set to see a new face in his corner in Swindon trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick.

While the news that Martin has been training at Fitzpatrick’s Ferndale Road gym was revealed at Thursday night’s press launch for the Talk Is Cheap show, both boxer and trainer were coy on the potential tie-up.

Martin confirmed that Fitzpatrick looks set to be in his corner for his next fight but that the pair would take it “one fight at a time”.

In the meantime the unbeaten 22-year-old former England international confirmed he is 100 per cent fit and “hungry” to get his stop-start career back on track.

The Talk Is Cheap show takes place on November 26th at Swindon’s Oasis Leisure Centre.

Headlining the show is Sam ‘Sniper’ Smith with Luke ‘The Duke’ Watkins providing chief support.

The show will also see Swindon veteran Kelvin Young bring down the curtain on his impressive career.
