Samuel Talbot hit five goals as Swindon Under 15’s won their top-of-the-table clash with Guildford in emphatic style.

Talbot’s five-goal haul helped Swindon win the Under 15 South 1 match 10-3 and keeps them firmly at the top of the table, four points ahead of Guildford.

Mason Lipsey got Swindon off to a flying start when he scored on 1.06, assisted by Jake Williams.

Six minutes later Talbot scored the first of his five goals, assisted by Reed Sayers.

Williams hit Swindon’s third goal, assisted by Lipsey, before Talbot scored a shorthanded effort at 14.17 with the assists going to Alexander Quant and Sayers.

Swindon started the second period with two goals in as many minutes, Lipsey and Talbot both scoring again to round off a superb opening session.

Sayers then extended Swindon’s lead to 7-0 at 21.55, assisted by Jason Warren and Talbot, before Guildford hit two quick goals courtesy of George Hoang.

Swindon though were soon back on the goal trail as Oscar Evans scored nine seconds before the end of the session.

The final period saw Swindon make sure of victory courtesy of two more goals from Talbot while Guildford added a consolation from Hoang, his hat-trick, with three minutes remaining.

On Saturday, Swindon travel to Bracknell hoping to extend their 100 per cent record this season to 10 wins.
