Swindon superbike star Max Cook continued his fine run in the HEL Performance British Motostar Championship this weekend, adding more points to his tally in both races at Cadwell Park.
The 13-year-old has now scored points in every single race so far this season – the only rider in the Motostar Championship to have done so.
In race one, Cook made a solid start and was up to 13th after the first lap. Cook then found himself in a three-way battle for 10th place.
Despite his best efforts, Cook couldn’t break into the top 10 and had to settle for 11th place and five more championship points.
Cook had his sights set on a top 10 finish in race two and once again got a good start as he claimed 12th place by the end of the first lap.
He was soon up to 11th as he chased down 1oth place once again before two riders crashed out, bumping him up to ninth.
With three laps remaining, Cook held onto his ninth place to claim another superb finish.
A delighted Cook, said: “I had a good weekend at Cadwell Park and came away with an 11th and ninth place.
“I had a good weekend on the bike as learnt loads and improved all the way through.
“I had a great race on Saturday as I was battling with the KTM’s of Boerboom and Slooten so was really happy.
“On the Sunday I was happy with the result for race two but a bit disappointed I couldn’t stay with the group of riders ahead of me after getting a good start.
“I tried as hard as I could but could not close the gap so it was a lonely race.
“I know what I have to work on for the remainder of the season so looking forward to getting back on the bike at Oulton.”
Fellow Swindon rider Charlie Nesbitt continued to dominate the British Motostar Championship as he notched another two victories at Cadwell Park.
It was Nesbitt’s eighth consecutive race win as he extended his lead in the standings to 126 points from Jake Archer.
Cook meanwhile sits in 10th place in the championship ahead of round nine at Oulton Park on September 9th-11th.
