Swindon superbike star Max Cook has his sights set on catching the leading British Motostar riders this weekend at Oulton Park.

The 13-year-old is looking to push his bike to the limit at the Cheshire circuit and maintain his position within the top 10 of the British Motostar Championship.

Cook is the only rider in the championship to score points in every single race and he is also the highest placed British Motostar rookie.

Oulton Park is also a favourite circuit of Cook’s and he can draw on a fine performance there last time out when he secured eighth place.

“I’m fired up for another weekend,” Cook told Your Sport Swindon.

“I can’t believe Cadwell Park was two weeks ago because so much has been going on with going back to the school, training really hard, getting my Red Bull Rookies application in and preparing for this weekend.

“I’m really excited to be going back to Oulton Park this weekend as I had a good race there earlier in the year when the weather was all over the place.

“I’m really hoping it stays dry as this circuit it so much fun when you can ride it fast and push it over the blind crests and chicanes.

“The main thing for me this weekend is to enjoy my riding and do my best to get closer to the guys in front of me.”

Cook’s weekend has already begun well as he was fifth fastest in first practice.

The youngster’s big race at Oulton Park takes place on Sunday at 3pm and will be televised live on Eurosport and Quest.
