Swindon Town Ladies “buzzing” ahead of Spurs cup tie

Swindon Town Ladies duo Michelle Rich and Beth Westlake talk to us ahead of Sunday’s big FA Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur.

The pair believe they have a great chance of causing an upset against Premier League Southern Division Spurs in this FA Cup second round clash.

Town Ladies skipper Rich has urged her teammates to stay calm and relaxed ahead of the clash but admitted that the whole squad is buzzing about Sunday’s big tie.

Westlake, who is the club’s top goalscorer this season, is looking forward to trying to break down a defensive line from the division above.

 

Swindon will go into the match in confident mood with the side still unbeaten in all competitions this season. Spurs meanwhile are sitting comfortably in sixth place in the division above.

Sunday’s match kicks off at 2pm at Shrivenham Football Club with spectators welcome.
