Swindon Topcats will bid to bounce back to the top of the standings when they travel to Chelmsford Cobras today.
Having hit the top of the league last month thanks to a 7-1 win against Whitley Squaws, Topcats slipped back into second place after MK Falcons beat Slough Phantoms 6-1 last weekend.
Goals from Rebecca Inker, Ruth Leopold (2), Emma Hindmarch, Laura Merrick and Anne-Sheralie Chilcott ensured victory against Chelmsford last time out and they will be gunning for a repeat performance.
Chelmsford Cobra’s currently sit second last in the table but Topcats’ alternative captain Becky Da Cova has called for focus ahead of the match.
Da Cova said: “Everyone is ready for the game against Chelmsford on Sunday.
“We’ve had a good few games, and there’s still a few things we need to work on which we hope to do Sunday.
“Everyone needs to stay focused, go out and get the win.
“We have a tough few games coming up and we have to play like we know we can if we want a chance to stay at the top and go to the play-offs.”
Chelmsford Cobras v Swindon Topcats faces off at 12.30pm on Sunday.
