Swindon Supermarine boss Dave Webb was disappointed with the manner in which his side slipped to defeat against play-off rivals Evesham United.

The Supermarine boss conceded that Evesham were arguably the better side on the day although he felt had his side been more clinical in front of goal it could have been a very different result.

Webb said he now expects a reaction from his side when they travel to Wimborne on Tuesday night before heading to Bridgwater next Saturday.

Swindon Supermarine slipped to their first home defeat of the season against Division One South & West play-off rivals Evesham United.

Lance Smith gave Evesham the lead on six minutes thanks to his superb header which picked out the top corner of the Supermarine net.

Brad Hooper then brought the hosts level when he slotted home a penalty after George Reid was fouled in the box on 24 minutes.

Smith struck again for the visitors on 55 minutes, scoring from the spot after he had been brought down in the box by Marine’s Jon Beeden.

Evesham rounded off the win on 90 minutes when Elliott Kennedy poked the ball home after a good cross from the left.
