Swindon Shock went top of the league after staging a thrilling comeback against Woking Blackhawks.

Having already beaten them in the cup, an in-form Swindon Shock side travelled to Woking for a regular season game.

Woking started the game fast and jumped into an 11-point lead early on.

Swindon Shock rallied and clawed the score back as they trailed by just three points at half-time.

The third period saw Woking increase their lead to seven points before key baskets from Swindon Shock’s Lee Hobbis and Matt North reduced the deficit.

Chris Cole then put Swindon Shock ahead in the game courtesy of a three-point play with just two minutes remaining.

Spencer Wells then hit a few open shots as Swindon Shock held onto their advantage to win 82-78.

Swindon are now top of the English National League Division Four South West table ahead of RTC Rhonda, who have won their opening three fixtures.

Shock will bid to continue their fine start to the season on Saturday when they host second-placed RTC Rhonda at New College.

Saturday’s game starts at 2pm.
