Your Sport Swindon caught up with Kelly Morgan ahead of her next professional fight on Saturday, October 24th.

The Swindon boxer takes on Georgian Number One Elene Sikmashvili at the Oasis Leisure Centre bidding to earn the second win of her career.

It will be Morgan’s first professional fight in Swindon having made her debut at Bath Pavilion back in July.

The 35-year-old is relishing the chance to impress her home crowd in Swindon and is in confident mood ahead of the bout.

Morgan’s debut was an explosive one as she stopped Hungarian Klaudia Vigh inside the first round.

And although the Swindon boxer refused to make a prediction for the fight, she promised to just go in there and “do her thing”.

Sikmashvili comes into the fight as the more experienced boxer with eight wins to her name and just the one defeat.

All the Georgian’s victories however have come against rivals from her own country while her one defeat was a second round knockout against Germany’s Maria Lindberg.

Morgan’s fight takes place on the undercard to Joe Hughes’ English super lightweight title defence and is on a bill which includes a host of Swindon boxers.

Paddy Fitzpatrick’s cruiserweight Luke Watkins is chief support while Ryan Martin and Kelvin Young both fight for Challenge titles.

Also featuring is Danny Bharj, Garvey Kelly and Joe Beeden along with Chippenham boxer Ben Heap, who makes his professional debut.

Tickets are now on sale for the show which is promoted by Keith Mayo in association with Paddy Fitzpatrick.

Cost of the tickets are £35 standard unreserved seating and £60 VIP.
