Lawn A were able to overcome a battling Raychem B to earn their second win of the season in Division One.

Raychem started brightly with pressure being applied all down the court making the opposition work for the ball, but it wasn’t enough to prevent them slipping behind 13-11.

The match continued to ebb and flow with momentum shifting continuously and the score line reflected that as it was 25-25 at half time.

A few mistakes from Raychem meant that Lawn ended the third quarter leading by seven points, and Raychem were unable to pull it back and eventually went down 53-43. Ellie Zimmer scooped player of the match for Raychem.

Elsewhere in Division One, Razzle Dazzle moved to the top courtesy of a 46-39 victory over Croft A, whilst Pinehurst B defeated Pinehurst A 30-24 to maintain their 100 per cent record.

Fairford A landed their third successive Division Two win after they defeated Lawn B in a nail-biting encounter.

Lawn started very strongly taking the lead with good fluid play from the first whistle and by the end of the second quarter were leading by five goals.

During the third quarter Fairford stepped up the pace, playing some good defensive netball and began to eat away at Lawn’s lead, eventually finishing the third quarter leading by one.

The final quarter remained a tight and tense affair up until Lawn endured bad luck with two injuries, meaning they had to finish the match with six players. Fairford were able to take advantage of the free player and went on to win the match 58-47.

Lawn E were unable to register a first win of the season as they went down 49-34 against Purton B.
