Sam Smith would relish a Southern Area title fight with Swindon’s Kelvin Young if he beats Jack Morris in July.
Twenty-three-year-old Smith will be ringside for Young’s fight against Morris on July 16th because he too fights on the York Hall bill in what will be his third professional bout.
And although Smith is only just beginning his professional career he is confident that he would be a match for Young if that fight ever happened.

Smith’s fight on July 16th will mark his return to action after a five-month absence because of a hand injury.
But despite the injury he has kept busy and has even been sparring southpaw, something which he believes has been a valuable learning curve.
