Swindon boxer Ryan Martin talks to Your Sport Swindon ahead of his next professional fight in September.
The 21-year-old returns to the ring in Gloucester on September 12th, his first fight since suffering a shoulder injury back in June.
That shoulder injury denied Martin the chance to headline “The New Generation” show in Swindon, which was eventually cancelled.
But the welterweight has declared himself 100 per cent fit for his fifth professional fight and cannot wait to get back in the ring.
Martin will be fighting at Gloucester’s GL1 Leisure Centre on the undercard to the British Challenge lightweight title fight between Chris Adaway and Andy Harris.
Although his opponent has not yet been confirmed, according to BoxRec Martin is scheduled in to face William Warburton.
Martin will also have a new face in his camp with Rich Farnan taking over the corner for this fight while his regular trainer Islan Eltuyev is unavailable.
The Keith Mayo managed boxer will now look to stay busy and already has another fight booked in for October when he will fight in Swindon.
