PADDY’S SAY: Calls to ban boxing are a low blow

This week on Paddy’s Say we discuss the safety in boxing which has come under scrutiny after Nick Blackwell was put in an induced coma following his British title defeat against Chris Eubank Jnr last weekend.

Swindon boxing trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick believes referee Victor Loughlin stopped the fight at the right time and doesn’t think the sport should be banned because of last Saturday’s events.

Fitzpatrick also claimed that the safety of all boxers is always paramount during a fight but everyone involved in the sport understands the risks involved.
