Swindon boxing trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick talks to us about the prospect of his boxer Eamonn O’Kane taking on fellow Irishman Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan.

The possibility of a potential clash between the pair developed on the social media site Twitter over the last few days with both boxers agreeing in principal to meet in the ring.

Northern Irishman O’Kane trains in Swindon with Fitzpatrick and the trainer believes a clash against Cork’s O’Sullivan would make for a thrilling encounter.

Fitzpatrick also believes it is a fight that makes perfect sense for the pair, who both recently lost world title eliminators.

Talks are now expected to take place between both boxers’ management and potential promoters with a view to the fight possibly happening in April.

Prior to then, O’Kane will fight at Swindon’s Oasis Leisure Centre, when he tops the bill on a co-promotion between Keith Mayo and Fitzpatrick on March 12th.
