Swindon boxer Kelly Morgan could fight for a full world title in November despite her next scheduled fight falling through.
The WBC silver middleweight champion was due to defend her title against American Maricelo Cornejo on August 5 but that fight is now off.
But instead of setting Morgan back in her quest to become world champion, it appears to have moved her a step closer.
The 35-year-old told Your Sport Swindon that she is now being lined up by the WBC to face either their middleweight champion Kali Reis or their super middleweight queen Nikki Adler.
Morgan has her eyes on winning both those belts and is ready to step up to super middleweight to face Adler if that opportunity arises first.
Before November, Morgan is set to have a “ticking over” fight which will be a non-title defence and could happen around September time.

Morgan only turned professional in July last year and in just four fights is now on the brink of a world title shot.
Her last fight in June saw her win the WBC silver middleweight title as she outpointed German Lisa Cielas in Swindon.
