Swindon boxer Ryan Martin talks to Your Sport Swindon about his next fight later this month and looks towards an exciting 2016.

The talented welterweight currently holds an unblemished six fight record and is expected to extend his winning run against Rob Brown on December 20th.

His manager Keith Mayo is targeting a Southern Area title shot early in the new year, a belt the former Walcot Amateur Boxing Club star would love to win.

Martin, who won his first title – a Challenge belt – back in October, would also like to win the English title in 2016 and he hopes to be at that level this time next year.

The 22-year-old predicted he will produce an “explosive” performance at Grange Leisure Centre on December 20th against Brown, claiming it could be a similar outcome to the explosive knockout he produced against Linas Meistavicius in Gloucester earlier in the year.

When asked about a potential all-Swindon fight against Paddy Fitzpatrick’s Garvey Kelly, Martin revealed such a fight is not in his mind right now but admitted if it is going to happen he’d like it sooner rather than later.
