London Marathon head start for Bec

Swindon runner Bec Connolly will be the envy of her running pals after securing a Good For Age place at the 2016 London Marathon.

Connolly, who is also a keen white collar boxer, will line up at London 2016 just behind the Elite athletes after securing her place in the 18-35 Good For Age category.

The Swindon mum was handed the privileged Good For Age slot after running a time of 3:36 at last year’s London Marathon having stepped in at the last minute to run for Carers UK.

Connolly is excited about the prospect of running the London Marathon again and will use the event to raise money for domestic violence charity Refuge.
