Being crowned Broome Manor’s Club Champion is a dream come true for Tom Law.

The 18-year-old clinched the prestigious Broome Manor title at the weekend after two sensational rounds saw him finish 10-under par, some 15 shots ahead of his nearest rival.

Talking to Your Sport Swindon, Law said: “I’m really pleased with the outcome of the weekend and it seems quite surreal that I’ve won the club champs as that’s the event I’ve wanted to win.

All the support I have received from this weekend has been unbelievable and I can’t thank everybody enough for making it even more memorable.”

A first round score of 65 gave Law a healthy nine-shot lead going into the final 18, something the youngster felt was pivotal to his triumph.

When I got to five under through eight holes in the morning I did start to think it could be a good day.

I was able to enjoy the afternoon more as I had a nine-shot lead and I was playing good.”

Law also told Your Sport Swindon that he will never forget walking down the 18th at Broome Manor knowing he was about to be crowned club champion.

The rounds were great, I just went out there to enjoy myself and the day,” added Law.

Obviously a quick start in the morning helped and the birdie down 18 in the morning to shoot 65 set me up perfectly for the afternoon.

Walking down 18 in the afternoon was something I will remember, knowing I had a huge lead meant I could enjoy and embrace the moment.”
