Horseshoe Amateur Boxing Club stage their winter dinner show on Friday night at Grange Leisure Centre.
Former Commonwealth light heavyweight champion Nicky Piper (MBE) is the guest speaker for the night and will also hand out the trophies to the boxers.
Twelve fights are scheduled for the show with Carum Aujla, Freddie Woodcock, Kaydon Connolly, Owen Sutton, George White, Joe Drury, Harrison Pearson, Sam Vallis, Bobby Collard and James Townsend representing Horseshoe ABC.
Head coach Brian Roberts is looking forward to the night and said: “The lads have trained really hard especially during this six week cycle in preparation for this show.
“I’m looking forward to it and looking forward to, fingers-crossed, coming out on top in our fights.
“It is going to be a cracking show and we are delighted to welcome Nicky Piper as our star guest.
“Nicky is a great after dinner speaker and he will also be doing the auction for us.
“It will be a great honour for all the boxers to be boxing in front of someone like Nicky.
“This is a very important night for the club as it helps to raise much needed funds to help us keep the club going strong.
