New College Swindon went into the Hellenic League Division One West clash against Letcombe yet to taste victory at the Webbswood Stadium.

And having been beaten at home by local rivals Purton the previous week, College were determined to bounce back from that defeat.

Letcombe enjoyed the best of the first half action, hitting the bar twice.

New College’s Robbie Hendry also prevented his side from going into the break a goal down after making a goal line clearance.

The second half however was a different story as New College dominated proceedings.

Jack Lowers eventually got the breakthrough when his superb curling left foot shot picked out the left hand corner of the Letcombe net.

From then on New College dominated the match and soon doubled their lead, with Ben Lodge firing home from the edge of the box.

New College Swindon now travel to Thatcham Town in the FA Vase this weekend.
