The Tomahawks started brightly, scoring after 40 seconds through Owen Smith.
The visitors went 2-0 up after six minutes with a goal from Mason Biddulph.
Samuel James Talbot pulled one back for the Leopards in the 15th minute, with Daryl Lipsey’s side scoring a second in the 35th to make it 2-2.
Hopes of a comeback win were dashed when Tommy Hugget made it 3-2 to Chelmsford.
