Shrivenham have confirmed that Director of Football Nick Moore has stood down from his position at the club.

Moore was appointed to the role ahead of the season and although he has overseen plenty of improvement, he announced his intention to step down from both his role and his place on the Committee on Saturday November 11.

Reflecting on the news, Shrivvy chairman Matt Hirst was disappointed to see Moore go.

“It’s a real shame to lose someone of Nick’s experience,” Hirst said.

“We would have dearly loved him to have stayed on and we were hoping that he would change his mind which is why we’ve put off making the announcement, however it wasn’t to be and we have to respect his decision.

“He’s shown great commitment to the club and he’ll be missed by everyone on the committee and by the players.

“Although we’re disappointed he has opted to resign, he leaves with our best wishes and thanks for all the help he has given to the club.”

Meanwhile, the club have also confirmed Jason Milhench has departed the club to join Hellenic League Premier Division leaders Highworth Town.

Milhench joined from Fairford Town in September but has only made three appearances for the Barrington Park club since his arrival.

The midfielder joins goalkeeper Josh Langley as a second addition at The Elms club this week ahead of the weekend’s matches.
