Highworth Town will face Highmoor Ibis in the third round of the Hellenic Challenge Cup after a 2-0 home success over Oxford City Nomads.

Jon Davoile headed the Worthians into the lead before Paul Alder doubled the advantage in the second half to secure progression.

It wasn’t such a good day for Royal Wootton Bassett who were knocked out by Division One East strugglers Sandhurst.

It was going well for the home side at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground when a Steve Robertson brace had them 2-0 up before Maurice Black was able to halve the deficit before the interval.

Henry Lee then equalised for the visitors with a fine long range effort before Billy Brice completed the turnaround as Sandhurst produced a cup upset.

Shrivenham were controversially knocked out by Premier Division side Bracknell after a 4-3 defeat at Barrington Park.

The hosts raced into a 3-0 lead before two converted Seb Bowerman penalties allowed Bracknell back into the game before half time.

Bracknell were then awarded their third penalty of the game allowing Bowerman to restore parity and it was him again who completed the turn around with a fine strike.

Chalvey Sports of Division Two East knocked out New College Swindon.

The match went to extra time and penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation with the visitors taking the shootout 4-2.

Elsewhere, Purton were in Division One West action and extended their unbeaten run to seven league matches with a 4-0 home success over Milton United.

Fairford Town progressed to the quarter finals of the Gloucestershire FA Challenge Trophy courtesy of a 3-1 success at Bristol Telephones.

Jason Milhench netted twice in the first half before Lee Smith gave up the chance to move Fairford further ahead when he blazed a penalty over the bar.

Bristol Telephones then converted a penalty of their own to make it a nervy last 15 minutes for the away side, but Smith was able to settle those nerves and rectify his penalty miss to round off the scoring.
