Check out our picture gallery from Swindon Storm American Football Club’s second women’s training session.
Having had a competitive senior men’s team competing in the town for the last decade, the club has been missing a women’s team.
Angela Bartram has spearheaded the project and already attracted around 20 women to training at the club’s Southbrook Rec home.
While this summer will be used to build the side, the ultimate aim is to field a competitive women’s team under the Storm banner, something which could happen later this year or early 2022.
Storm’s women’s side train on Saturday’s from 1pm at Southbrook Rec, Pinehurst Road and you can find out more by visit the club’s social media platforms or website www.swindonstorm.org
