Swindon’s men came off second best in the battle of the Wiltshire clubs, losing 1-0 against second placed West Wilts.

Despite having the lion’s share of the chances, Swindon just couldn’t take their chances and were frustrated by an in-form West Wilts goalie.

Swindon were made to pay for their missed chances when West Wilts grabbed a winner with 12 minute remaining.

The club’s ladies side bounced back to winning ways with a 5-1 win against Redland UWE in West Premier 2A.

Redland scored first from a penalty corner with just three minutes on the clock but a trademark reverse stick goal from Adriana Boullosa brought Swindon level.

Just minutes before the break, Gemma Scrase found Victoria Stokes in the circle and her first time diving shot flew past the Redland’s goalkeeper.

Stokes then added her second just two minutes into after half-time and she grabbed her hat-trick when she powered home a rebound from Bollousa’s effort.

Charlie George added a fourth before Swindon’s youngest player Chloe Lewis scored the fifth.
