It was a feisty affair between the two Division One sides which saw KC Globe’s Michael Solan see red for a violent conduct.
Early on in the match though it was striker Solan who was the hero for KC Globe as he tapped home Aaron Webb’s cross to give his side the lead.
Penhill levelled soon after however when Gary Macieszonek powered his header into the top corner of the KC Globe net.
KC Globe were then reduced to 10 men when goalscorer Solan’s reckless challenge left a Penhill player grounded.
That tackle saw tempers flare with Solan headbutting another Penhill player and rightly receiving a red card from the referee.
Despite going down to 10 men, KC Globe retook the lead moments after the sending off.
However they were pegged back immediately when Macieszonek headed home his second goal of the game in some style.
As the game grew older Penhill, with the luxury of an extra man, piled the pressure on the home side as they went in hunt of a winning goal.
And, after having a couple of penalty appeals turned down and missing several good chances, Penhill eventually went in front for the first time in the match.
KC Globe initially squandered possession in their own half and the resultant long ball into the box caught their defence napping as it eventually fell to Sid Davis for an easy tap in.
The hosts did create a few chances to level late on but Penhill’s keeper pulled off a couple of great saves to deny them.
This Sunday Penhill take on Croft Junior in the Knockout Cup while KC Globe face Highworth Town Sunday FC in the same competition.
