Raychem Netball Club finished 2015 on a high with four wins from their six matches last weekend in the Swindon & District Netball Association league.

In Division Two, Raychem C took on Moredon B, a side they had already beaten earlier in the season.

Moredon started strongly but Raychem soon pulled back with player of the match Charley Hudson making some good interceptions.

At the end of the third quarter Raychem led 33-13 and increased their winning margin to 22 goals as they won 42-20.

In Division Three, Raychem D also took on a Moredon outfit, playing their C team with Dani Anderson returning to the side from her mission in West Africa fighting Ebola.

And it was Anderson who was awarded the player of the match award as Raychem played a solid game as they wrapped up a 39-13 win.

In a top of the table clash, league leaders Raychem A took on Razzle Dazzle in Division One and clinched a 58-52 success.

Raychem B however were not so fortunate in their match against Nationwide A, also in Division One.

Nationwide took full advantage of a slow Raychem start as they scored five on the trot to lead by 10 at half-time.

Raychem got to within a point of Nationwide at one point but couldn’t pull level and eventually lost 48-45.

In Division Four, Raychem E lost to Wootton Bassett B 39-22 while Raychem F remain unbeaten in Division Five after a 53-15 win against Fairford C.

Nationwide C played Division Three leaders Jets A, a side who they beat at the start of the season.

The match was neck and neck at the end of the third quarter with the scores locked at 15-15.

But an injury to Nationwide’s centre forced them to reshuffle their side around and Jets took full advantage as they secured a 26-16 win.

Nationwide’s Sian Corbyn was awarded player of the match.

Lawn C continued their winning streak in Division Three with another victory over Abbey Meads C.

Taking the lead from the start, Lawn produced some fluid netball as they wrapped up a 57-15 win. Lawn’s wing attack Amy Dodson was player of the match.

Lawn D’s young squad, led by the more experienced Cath Bull, took on Delta Reds C in what was a very close match.

And the youngsters kept their heads to secure a 26-18 win with goal attack Courtney Arnold awarded player of the match.

Lawn A and Lawn B weren’t so lucky, with both failing to find their form this week.

Their B side put up a great fight to try and take second position in the league from Pinehurst, but couldn’t hold onto their lead and eventually lost 50-34.

Lawn A meanwhile lost 42-30 against Croft A in Division One.
