Broome Manor junior Freddie Titcombe was surprised but delighted to win the Workpl@ce Cup at the weekend.

Titcombe was the overall gross winner on the day but also came second in the junior order of merit, a competition which has run all season, behind Katie Walls.

The young golfer spoke to Your Sport Swindon’s George Moore after his success on Sunday.

Titcombe said he was surprised his score of 82 was enough to clinch the title and said he felt sorry for runner-up Ben Wakeley, who he beat on count back.

The Broome Manor star also said he was delighted to have got his handicap down to 5.8 over the course of the season.
