After losing their first game of 2016 away at Trowbridge last weekend, Swindon bounced back with a hard-fought victory against High Wycombe.

Swindon struck early after a flowing move saw Oliver Wilson hand over to Ieuan Clements to score.

Battling against the blustery and wet weather, skipper Adam Westall saw his conversation fall short.

As the weather continued to worsen, Swindon dug deep to keep a strong High Wycombe side out although they failed to increase their lead.

Swindon pushed for another try in the second half but visiting High Wycombe held firm, just.

And in the end, Swindon’s solitary first-half strike proved enough to claim victory.
