Swindon cruiserweight Luke Watkins has been added to Neilson Boxing’s June 10th show in Swindon.

“Duke” Watkins, who has a perfect record of seven wins from as many fights, becomes the third Swindon boxer on the bill.

The 26-year-old joins fellow Swindon fighters Kelly Morgan, who fights for the WBC Silver middleweight title on the night, and exciting welterweight Ryan Martin, who is chief support.

Promoters Mark and Tony Neilson are delighted to have added the Paddy Fitzpatrick-trained fighter to their card.

Mark Neilson said: “It’s great news that “The Duke” has agreed to fight on the show next week. We’ve had some very positive discussions with his trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick about working together and obviously as the only active promoter locally, we want as many local fighters on our shows as possible.”

Tony Neilson added: “With Kelly Morgan’s WBC Silver title challenge, talented chief support Ryan Martin, Gloucester’s Riiddy Ennis-Brown and the popular Ross Alexander also on the show, we’re putting on a great night of boxing for Swindon’s brilliant fight fans.”

Watkins’ last performance saw him beat Tony Cruise at boxing’s iconic York Hall venue last month and he will look build on that at the Swindon show with another six-round fight.

The show, which is called New Beginning, takes place at Swindon’s Grange Leisure Centre with doors opening at 6:30pm.

Tickets are available online from www.neilsonboxing.co.uk by calling the ticket hotline 01793 833468, the venue or from any of the fighters.

Tickets are still on sale priced at £35 standard and £60 Ringside.
