Swindon superbike star Max Cook heads to Brands Hatch this weekend in confident mood and looking to climb further up the HEL Motorstar British Championship table.
The 13-year-old rookie rider took his season’s points tally to 72 in the last round at Thruxton, courtesy of a seventh and 13th place finish in his two respective races.
Heading to Brands Hatch’s Grand Prix circuit this weekend, Cook is not only confident but excited about taking to the tarmac on such a famous circuit.
Back in May, Cook secured a fifth place finish at Brands Hatch’s Indy track but tackling the Kent circuit’s longer GP venue is an experience the youngster cannot wait to savour.
Ahead of his trip to Brands, Cook, who now lies 10th in the championship standings, said: “I’ve been looking forward to racing on this circuit for the last few years.
“You don’t get to ride this circuit easily as there are houses nearby so it’s really only BSB that can race here.
“I feel really good as the last round at Thruxton was brilliant and I feel more confident with the bike. I got a good result at Brands Indy a few months ago so I want to improve on that and climb back up the championship table.”
Cook’s two race heats take place on Saturday at 2.40pm and on Sunday at 2.55pm. Both can be watched live on Eurosport.
