Light heavyweight David Bailey has his sights set on winning the British title before he quits boxing.

The 32-year-old recently teamed up with Swindon trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick, chalking up two points wins together in recent weeks.

Bristol-based Bailey is hoping to take on the winner of Saturday’s Southern Area light heavyweight clash between Kelvin Young and Jack Morris later this year as he plots his route to the prestigious British crown.

Young and Morris will fight for the Southern Area light heavyweight strap on Saturday night at York Hall.

Both Fitzpatrick and Bailey will be in attendance on the night because Fitzpatrick’s boxers Luke Watkins and Sam Smith are also in action.
