Age is no barrier for veteran referee Wirdnam

YourSportSwindon caught up with Swindon referee Rod Wirdnam at the North Wilts Youth League Cup Finals last weekend.

Wirdnam, who is approaching his 80th birthday, refereed the Under 11 Cup Final and says he enjoys being the man in the middle more than ever.

In two years time Wirdnam will have been officiating for 40 years and he has no plans to retire his whistle just yet.
