Swindon Robins boss Alun Rossiter believes the first two meetings of the season against Poole Pirates will act as a good benchmark for his team.

Rossiter is looking forward to seeing how his 2016 Robins side fairs against reigning Elite League champions Poole.

The tapes go up on Swindon’s Elite League season on Good Friday at Poole before the Robins host the Pirates two days later at the Abbey Stadium.

Rossiter however is quietly confident that he has put together a team capable of lifting the Elite League crown at the end of the season.

Both sides are at full strength for the clash at Wimborne Road, which means Rossiter’s side will face 2012 world champion Chris Holder and GP ace Hans Andersen.

Nick Morris returns for the Swindon after missing the challenge against Somerset while Charles Wright and Rohan Tungate also return after riding for the Rebels in that meeting.

Friday’s line-ups

Poole Pirates: Chris Holder, Brady Kurtz, Davey Watt, Hans Andersen, Krzysztof Buczkowski, Adam Ellis, Kyle Newman.

Swindon Robins: Jason Doyle, Justin Sedgmen, Josh Grajczonek, Rohan Tungate, Nick Morris, Charles Wright, Stefan Nielsen.
