PADDY’S SAY: Boxing on terrestrial TV would be massive

This week on Paddy’s Say, Swindon trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick discusses the possibility of professional boxing coming to terrestrial television.

Fitzpatrick believes such a move would be “massive” for the sport, especially for small hall promoters and to showcase boxers in the early stages of their careers.

Such a deal is being considered by ITV bosses and could see as many as 20 shows a year broadcast across their platforms.

Fitzpatrick also discussed Pay Per View and said that only “super fights” should chosen for box office bouts.
