Bus companies Stagecoach and Thamesdown Transport will take to the turf once again as they contest the Colin Daley Memorial football match.

The memorial football match, which is now in its third year, is held annually for members of both bus companies to remember much-loved colleague Colin Daley, who died in 2014.

The 69-year-old from Westlea died after losing his battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and this match, which was originally an organised fixture prior to Colin’s death, is now an annual event.

Thamesdown Transport, for whom Colin drove for, have won both memorial matches so far, and Stagecoach will be hoping it is third time lucky this year.

This year’s match takes place on Sunday, March 13th, kick off 2pm, at Grange Leisure Centre on their 3G astroturf football pitch.

Spectators are welcome and charity bucket collections will take place on the day, raising money for Prospect Hospice.
