Cirencester ABC travelled to Wales last weekend where two of their juniors were in action.
First up for Cirencester was 12-year-old Lewis Varey who faced Mole Valley ABC’s Jesse Keet.
There was nothing between the two boxers in the first round but Varey upped his game in the second and third rounds.
Varey caught Keet with left and right hand punches as he won a unanimous points decision.
Next up for Cirencester was Johnny Varey against reining schoolboy champion and Polish International Eryk Ciureja from Fenland Sparta ABC.
In what was another excellent bout, Varey lost a very tight decision.
ABA coach Simon Knowles said: “Lewis did very well to beat Jesse. What a bout Johnny was in, even though there was nothing in it, it was all good experience for him.”
