Swindon’s NIHL Wildcats coach Dan Sullivan has faith in his side to bounce back to winning ways on Saturday night when they face in-form Bristol Pitbulls.
Sullivan’s side came off second best last Sunday when they lost 5-2 at Basingstoke Buffalo but that performance left the Wildcats coach encouraged that his team have the potential to upset their derby rivals Bristol.
“When you start as well as we did, you should get something from the game,” said Sullivan.
“We probably didn’t do enough to win it, we allowed them too much possession and it was frustrating as I know the lads can do better.”
Bristol go into the match against Swindon in confident mood, having beaten Slough Jets on the road in the cup.
Pitbulls coach Richie Hargreaves is hoping their high confidence and fine form will continue in Swindon, saying: “The problem with Swindon is that you never know what team you will play against. But we need to be better than them, regardless.
“I expect the guys to continue to build off our last four games. We’ve shown a lot of confidence of late.
“The last time we played them, that was the start of our good run of play.
“I’m hoping that confidence against them will continue to roll over.”
Tickets are available at the door on the night and are priced at £6 per adult, £3 per concessions and £2 per child.
Face-off on Saturday night is 5.45pm at the Swindon Ice Arena.
