Around 140 children took part in the Draycott Sports Camp on Thursday where professional footballer Alex Pearce was the star guest.
Pearce, currently on loan with Bristol City, posed for pictures, took part in a crossbar challenge and answered questions at the camp which was held at Oakhurst Primary School.
Mark Draycott, who runs the Draycott Sports Camp, was delighted with the turnout which marked their second year anniversary.
“It was great to welcome our sports ambassador Alex Pearce to camp,” said Draycott. “Alex was kind enough to take part in a question and answer session with the children detailing his path on becoming a professional footballer and his rise to international football with Ireland.
“Alex also gave the children some advice on how to approach their sport which was in-keeping with the DSC philosophy – enjoy, play with a smile and have fun.
“This has topped off a fantastic week which marks our second birthday.”
